 BSD apparel is the only additional dance wear allowed in classes.

GIRLS: Pink Leotard (attached skirts/tutus allowed), Pink Tights, any style full sole leather Ballet slipper (ballet pink) and So Danca TA37 Velcro closure tap shoe (caramel)

BOYS: Black sweatpants or leggings, white t-shirt or tank, Ballet shoes (black), tap shoe (black)

Level 1, 2, 3 - Ballet, Tap, Jazz Classes

GIRLS: Any Black Leotard, Tan or Pink Convertible tights 

Bloch 258 or any style Ballet full or split sole leather (ballet pink)
Bloch 302 Tap shoe (tan)

Bare feet for Jazz​

Hair should be worn up off of the face

BOYS: Black sweatpants or leggings, white t-shirt or tank

Ballet shoes (black) and tap shoes (black)

Acro Class:

Any leotard with tights or leggings (No T-shirts/Tanks), Bare feet

Hair should be worn up off of the face

Hip Hop Class: 

Loose comfortable clothing and clean sneakers NOT worn outside. NO JEANS are allowed.

Hair should be worn up off of the face.

Musical Theater Class:

GIRLS: Black leotard, tan convertible tights, black dance pants, shorts, capris allowed. Bring any dance shoes (jazz, ballet, heels). Hair should be worn up off of the face

 

BOYS: Black sweatpants or leggings, white t-shirt or tank. Bring any dance shoes (jazz, ballet)

Contemporary/Improv Class:

GIRLS: Black leotard, tan convertible tights, black dance pants, shorts, capris allowed. Bare feet. Hair should be worn up off of the face

 

BOYS: Black sweatpants or leggings, white t-shirt or tank. Bare feet

​

Irish Step Class: 

GIRLS: Black leotard, black tights, black shorts or skirt (optional). Black ballet slippers or gillies. Hair should be worn up off of the face. 
 

BOYS: Black pants, black t-shirt or tank top. Black jazz shoes.

• Hard shoes come in UK sizes, which are not the same as US sizes.

• This should only be used as a guide. The best bet for a perfect fit is always to have your child try on the shoes first if possible.

• Please note that different brands of hard shoes may have slightly different sizing.

Industry Prep & Prostyle:

Leggings and tank/sports bra (form fitting). Clean athletic sneakers (no platforms). Hair down is encouraged.

Petite Level & Junior Intermediate Level

​

Ballet Class:

GIRLS: Black Leotard, Tan Tights, Tan Bloch 388L Tap shoe. Fitted black shorts allowed. BYC dancers must have hair in a bun.

Modern and Jazz Class: 

GIRLS: Black Leotard, Tan Tights, no shoes for Modern and Tan Bloch 495L Neo Flex for Jazz Class. Black dance shorts are allowed. 

BYC dancers must have hair in a bun.

BOYS: Black sweatpants or leggings, white t-shirt or tank, black jazz shoes, no shoes for Modern

 Junior Advanced & Senior Levels

*Hair must be in bun for all core classes

Ballet Class:

​Pointe Classes:

• All students must be recommended for and enrolled in Pre-pointe, Intermediate or Advanced Pointe AND given the approval by Assistant Director, Courtney Costa in order to purchase pointe shoes. Approved dancers should schedule a fitting with the On Your Toes staff.

Adult Dance Classes

 

All Adult Classes: Any comfortable clothing that allows for wide range of movement (ex. leggings, sweatpants). Hair pulled back off the face.

Footwear:

Ballet - Any style ballet slippers or socks

Jazz - no shoes required, optional jazz shoes or socks

Tap - Any style/color lace up tap shoes

Modern - no shoes required, optional socks

Hip Hop - clean sneakers
