Who is BoSoma Youth Company?
The BoSoma Youth Company (BYC) of BoSoma School of Dance is a community outreach dance group for ages 11-18 committed to sharing the art of dance at a wide variety of local venues. This pre-professional performance group offers students the chance to take their training outside the classroom and into the community at places such as town fairs, after-school programs, fundraisers, and other local events. In addition, youth company dancers are given the opportunity to enhance their dance education through workshops, master classes, and intensives. In order to participate in the BYC, students must commit to attending the Jr or Sr Intensive Annual Program Classes, attend 1-2 weekly rehearsals as scheduled throughout the school year as well as the BSD Summer Intensive held in August.
